Romo and Williams back on same page?

Right now the Dallas Cowboys are riding high after winning perhaps the biggest game of the season against their hated division rival Philadelphia Eagles. With a win over Philly the Cowboys are now in first place in the very competitive NFC East division and are officially back in the title contender conversation.

Before this game against the Eagles there was a lot of talk about the chemistry between vocal wide receiver Roy Williams and quarterback Tony Romo which reminded all of us of all the trouble the Cowboys had last season with controversial wideout Terrell Owens. Williams said that Romo and him were nowhere near on the same page and it just seemed like the same old story in Dallas, but that changed after the win over Philly as the two hooked up six times for 70 yards.

The Cowboys were just starting to get things together with their talented offense as young wide receiver Miles Austin quickly emerged as the go to guy for Tony Romo. This could be the main reason for Williams not being happy in Dallas, but like I said after week nine's win over the Eagles things might start to change with Williams attitude towards his quarterback.

At the beginning of the season the Dallas Cowboys were as far from a sure bet as a team could be with a promising young football team. They struggled on both sides of the football and looked like they were head for another disappointing season without a playoff appearance. A few seasons ago the Cowboys were a hot commodity, but at the start of this season it was hard to even see the Cowboys pulling out easy games against teams like the Kansas City Chiefs.

Fortunately things turned around for Dallas and they haven't looked back since as they are now the favorites to win the NFC East and finally get back into the playoffs. There is still a ways to go in the season, but things are really looking up in Dallas as they have a lot of momentum moving forward.

Cowboys Snatch NFC East Lead from Eagles

It has been an up and down season for both the Philadelphia Eagles and the Dallas Cowboys this season, but things have started to turn around for both squads as of late as they have been able to get things together with some big wins.

Fortunately for the Cowboys they have had the last laugh after beating the Eagles in the NFC East battle last week. With the win the Cowboys shot right past Philly to snatch the top spot in the NFC East and are sitting pretty coming into week 10.

The Eagles played pretty well against the Cowboys, but the Dallas defense was not giving up any big plays to Donovan McNabb and or DeSean Jackson in this game as they were able to keep Philadelphia's high powered offense relatively in check for most of the game holding the Eagles to just 16 points.

Tony Romo and the Cowboys offense didn't have as big a day as they have had in weeks past as they were only able to put up 20 points against the Philly defense, but that was enough for Romo and company to get the win and claim first place in arguably the toughest division in the NFL in the NFC East.

In week nine the Eagles destroyed the New York Giants beating Eli Manning and company 40-17. Earlier in the season the Dallas Cowboys took on the Giants in week two and Manning was able to lead his boys past America's team 33-31.

So despite the standings or expectations of teams in the NFC East it is extremely hard to pick winners in the best division in football.

It should be interesting to see how this season pans out for the Cowboys, Giants and Eagles, but as of right now Dallas is sitting pretty at the top spot!
