With a win over Philly the Cowboys are now in first place in the very competitive NFC East division and are officially back in the title contender conversation.

Before this game against the Eagles there was a lot of talk about the chemistry between vocal wide receiver Roy Williams and quarterback Tony Romo which reminded all of us of all the trouble the Cowboys had last season with controversial wideout Terrell Owens. Williams said that Romo and him were nowhere near on the same page and it just seemed like the same old story in Dallas, but that changed after the win over Philly as the two hooked up six times for 70 yards.

The Cowboys were just starting to get things together with their talented offense as young wide receiver Miles Austin quickly emerged as the go to guy for Tony Romo. This could be the main reason for Williams not being happy in Dallas, but like I said after week nine's win over the Eagles things might start to change with Williams attitude towards his quarterback.

At the beginning of the season the Dallas Cowboys were as far from a sure bet as a team could be with a promising young football team. They struggled on both sides of the football and looked like they were head for another disappointing season without a playoff appearance. A few seasons ago the Cowboys were a hot commodity, but at the start of this season it was hard to even see the Cowboys pulling out easy games against teams like the Kansas City Chiefs.

Fortunately things turned around for Dallas and they haven't looked back since as they are now the favorites to win the NFC East and finally get back into the playoffs. There is still a ways to go in the season, but things are really looking up in Dallas as they have a lot of momentum moving forward.

Cowboys Snatch NFC East Lead from Eagles

It has been an up and down season for both the Philadelphia Eagles and the Dallas Cowboys this season, but things have started to turn around for both squads as of late as they have been able to get things together with some big wins.

Fortunately for the Cowboys they have had the last laugh after beating the Eagles in the NFC East battle last week. With the win the Cowboys shot right past Philly to snatch the top spot in the NFC East and are sitting pretty coming into week 10.

The Eagles played pretty well against the Cowboys, but the Dallas defense was not giving up any big plays to Donovan McNabb and or DeSean Jackson in this game as they were able to keep Philadelphia's high powered offense relatively in check for most of the game holding the Eagles to just 16 points.

Tony Romo and the Cowboys offense didn't have as big a day as they have had in weeks past as they were only able to put up 20 points against the Philly defense, but that was enough for Romo and company to get the win and claim first place in arguably the toughest division in the NFL in the NFC East.

In week nine the Eagles destroyed the New York Giants beating Eli Manning and company 40-17. Earlier in the season the Dallas Cowboys took on the Giants in week two and Manning was able to lead his boys past America's team 33-31.

So despite the standings or expectations of teams in the NFC East it is extremely hard to pick winners in the best division in football.

It should be interesting to see how this season pans out for the Cowboys, Giants and Eagles, but as of right now Dallas is sitting pretty at the top spot!

Cowboys Comeback to Beat the Chiefs in Overtime

Everyone in Dallas knows that things are starting to heat involving talks of the firing of head coach Wade Phillips and the possible benching of quarterback Tony Romo, so every single week the pressure is mounting and anything less than a win in any given Sunday could be the end of Phillips and Romo combination for the Cowboys.

Even though the Cowboys are under a microscope right now by owner Jerry Jones America's team still has to go out and give it everything they got to prevent losing anymore disappointing games.

This week the Dallas Cowboys had it easy, at least on paper, as they were set to take on the win less Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium. The Chiefs have been just awful this season as they just have not been able to get things going on either side of the football. The addition of quarterback Matt Cassel has shown signs progress at times for the Chiefs, but the young quarterback has still yet to record his first win with his new team.

Tony Romo can rack up the passing yards, just like he did in this game with 351 yards in the air, but he just can't stop turning the ball over as he had yet another fumble which could have been the deciding factor in this game. Despite having the fumble, Romo was pretty impressive on Sunday as he connected with wide receiver Miles Austin all day long as Austin finished the day with 250 yards receiving and two touchdowns.

The Dallas running game was also firing on all cylinders today as well even though two of the three backs are banged up and dealing with nagging injuries. Tashard Choice got the least amount of the carries against the Chiefs, but he made the best of it rushing for 92 yards and touchdown only only eight carries on the day. Marion Barber on the other hand only racked up 53 yards on 15 carries.

Even though ultimately the Chiefs lost this game in overtime to the Cowboys, 26-20, Matt Cassel had his best game in a Chiefs uniform so far with 252 passing yards, two touchdowns and 28 rushing yards. Besides Cassel's impressive day the rest of the Chiefs really underachieved especially in the running game as Larry Johnson only rushed for 37 yards on 21 attempts.

So the Dallas Cowboys squeak out another win here to go over .500 this season improving their record to 3-2. The Chiefs on the other hand suffer another loss and fall to 0-5 on the year.

Romo Rips Up the Bucs

Last season the Dallas Cowboys had one of the most dynamic offenses in the NFL with up and coming quarterback Tony Romo, his favorite target in tight end Jason Witten and big mouth wide receiver Terrell Owens.

This season though things have changed, drastically! The big mouth wide receiver Terrell Owens or TO has been kicked out of town by Cowboys owner Jerry Jones and now plays for the Buffalo Bills.

The big question now is: How do the Cowboys replace an offense threat like TO?

Well, mid season last year Jerry Jones made a drastic, but smart move by adding wide receiver Roy Williams into the mix in Dallas to compliment TO on the other side of the huddle. At first this expirement didn't seem to work for one of two reasons, TO wasn't happy about having another receiver of Williams caliber to compete with and Williams wasn't exactly living up to expectations.

Like I said before, it is a new season and things have changed without TO in Dallas and one of the most important things that have changed is team chemistry and smiles on the faces of the Cowboys on the sidelines.

No one knew how good the Cowboys would be without the vocal one, but after week one and a very good all around performance by all the boys from Dallas there looks to be a light at the end of the tunnel.

The one player who looked like he benifited the most from the new look offense is Tony Romo. He has struggled at times in the past, but when Romo is on his game the Cowboys are extremely hard to stop on the offensive side of the football and he show that against the Tampa Bay Bucs in week one.

34-21! The Cowboys just dominated the Bucs, struggled a little in the beginning, but once Romo and his talented receiving core got going they were firing on all cylinders!

Tony Romo was a man on a mission against Tampa Bay throwing for 353 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions to start of the NFL season undefeated.

Not only was Romo on his game, but his receivers didn't let him down as all four of Romo's favorite targets had impressive performances. Miles Austin had one reception for 41 yards and a touchdown, Jason Witten finished with 71 yards on five catches, Roy Williams got off to a good start with 86 yards and a touchdown and Patrick Crayton started his campaign with a game high 135 yards and a touchdown of his own.

So as you can see the passing game was working to perfection, but that wasn't all as the Dallas running game was clicking as Marion Barber rushed for 79 yards on 14 carries and a rushing touchdown. Felix Jones added 22 yards on six carries.

Although this performance wasn't against an NFC title contender like the Giants, Eagles or the Vikings it still says that the Cowboys haven't missed a step without TO and will be on their way to another winning season!

Check out the latest NFL lines and second half football odds

Week 2: New York Giants @ Dallas Cowboys Sept. 20th 8:20pm EST

Ray Lewis to Sign with Dallas Cowboys?

Talk about an upgrade on defense! As if the Cowboys weren't stacked already on the defensive side of the football now one of the best linebackers in the NFL might be making his way to Dallas.

With the Baltimore Ravens possible on the verge of a major makeover after losing defensive coordinator Rex Ryan to the New York Jets, free agent Ray Lewis might attempt to jump ship to another Super Bowl contender.

For some reason I think that Ray Lewis fits perfectly with the Cowboys. Not just because the Cowboys have a tendency to sign trouble makers, but I can just picture him in a Cowboys uniform. His brother tryout out with the team last summer so I am sure Lewis is a somewhat familiar with the Cowboys organization from his visits to the camp in Oxnard over the summer.

Reportedly the Cowboys would be looking to offer Lewis a three year deal for about $28-30 million. Not bad deal if you ask me, might even be a little too much for an aging linebacker.

Who knows if the Dallas Cowboys will get a legit shot at signing the future hall of fame linebacker with the Ravens desperately trying to resign him and Rex Ryan's New York Jets possibly trying to lure him over as well. But if Jerry Jones can somehow bring Lewis in to lead this defense, it would definitely be a step in the right direction.

Adam "Pacman" Jones Gets Released from the Cowboys

After everything that has happened with this guy in his short time with the Dallas Cowboys it seemed inevitable that one day Jerry Jones and Cowboys were going to get tired of Pacman Jones problems.

Well, it happened. Finally, the Cowboys have officially cut their ties with the troubled cornerback by releasing him after finding out about yet another incident that Jones was involved in back in 2007.

It seems that Jones was involved in a shooting back in June of 2007 in Atlanta and big surprise it was in front of a strip club. Supposedly Jones got into an altercation with someone inside the strip club and once that certain someone and two others walked out of the strip club and into their car the car was riddled with bullets.

Back in 2007 the victims of the shooting couldn't press charges on Jones because they didn't see the shooter, but some mystery informant has came forward and said that Jones ordered the hit (shooting) on the victims in the car.

Even though this case is still open, the police have said they are not actively investigating it. Which sounds like they don't have the evidence or it is just not worth the hassle.

As of a result, the Cowboys have had enough and chose to part ways with the cornerback, but I am sure he will end up somewhere next season with team that is willing to take on his baggage.

Oakland maybe?

NFL Conspiracy Theory: Does the NFL Want the Dallas Cowboys in the Playoffs?

We all know money changes everything, especially when you are talking big money like what the NFL makes off of certain teams in their league. It is no secret that certain teams like the Dallas Cowboys, Pittsburgh Steelers, New England Patriots get more viewers than teams like the Detroit Lions, Houston Texans or the Kansas City Chiefs.

With that being said, there is a lot more money to be made when popular teams play in the playoffs or in prime time slots. The same goes for all the major sports. For example the last World Series got the worst ratings all-time, not because the Philadelphia Phillies and Tampa Bay Rays weren't good teams, but because they aren't based in major markets (at least the Rays aren't). For that reason the MLB suffered huge losses, of course they always make money in October, but they would have profited a lot more from say a Boston Red Sox vs. Los Angeles Dodgers World Series rather than the one they got. Not only do both teams have a huge fan base, but they sell a lot of merchandise and then you have the Manny Ramirez factor where people who aren't even fans of baseball would watch just to see what happens when he played against his old team.

There probably isn't a conspiracy with the NFL trying to get the Cowboys a playoff spot, but with the recent time change of the Eagles/Cowboys matchup in week 17, some people think that the NFL is being a bit shady in their tactics.

This game which will determine the outcome of both the Cowboys and the Eagles season, with a win by the Cowboys they will almost certainly get a Wildcard spot with a Eagles win they will end the Cowboys season and have a chance at a Wildcard.

The Eagles are a long shot to make the playoffs, they have to have a few things happen before they even have a chance at getting a Wildcard shot, but their fate might be determined before the game do to the time change which totally benefits the Cowboys because the Eagles could quite possibly have nothing to play for. The only thing that Dallas will have against them if the Eagles season is over is that Philly fans absolute hate the Cowboys and the Eagles will want to be their rivals regardless.

This game will now get the prime time spot for football on Sunday which is 3:15pm ET, but the games before the Cowboys/Eagles will ultimately already determine whether or not the Eagles have a chance. The Minnesota Vikings, Chicago Bears and the Tampa Bay Bucs hold the fate of the Eagles in their hands. If both the Minnesota Vikings and the Chicago Bears, who play the Giants and Texans, beat New York then Philly is done. Another scenario is if the Tampa Bay Bucs beat the Oakland Raiders, which is a very good possibility, then the Eagles are finished.

So like I said, the Eagles are definitely a long shot to make playoffs, but there is a chance. The Cowboys on the other hand just have to win, no scenario, no other teams in the their way, just a win.

Is there a NFL conspiracy? Who knows. Would it surprise me if the NFL did do this on purpose to get the Cowboys in the playoffs? Nope.

NFC East Showdown in Week 17: Eagles vs. Cowboys

With their playoffs hopes very much up in the air, the Philadelphia Eagles and the Dallas Cowboys will be playing to save their post season hopes in week 17 in Philly.

The NFC East has been filled with drama all season long from Giants wide out Plaxico Burress accidentally shooting himself in the leg to TO causing problems in Dallas to Andy Reid and Donovan McNabb futures in Philly in serious question. The only team to fly underneath the radar has been the Washington Redskins, but even they have had problems with the superstar running back Clinton Portis.

Even with all the added media attention, rumors and God knows what flying around the NFC East all four teams seem to play very good football when they get onto the gridiron.

The Eagles at times have been very solid on both offense and defense, but have failed to be consistent. The Giants are considered by some to be the best team in the league, but after the whole Plaxico problem they have started fall off a bit.

The Washington Redskins started the season looking really good, Jason Campbell finally looked comfortable as the team's leader and starting quarterback and Clinton Portis was arguably the best running back in the league, but after losing some tough games they just haven't been able to recover.

Finally, we have the Cowboys who at times look like the best team in the NFL on both sides of the football, but with media constantly surrounding them and the team not performing up to expectations, it has been rough season in Dallas.

With all that being said, the Giants have wrapped up the NFC East leaving the other three teams behind long ago, but now it has come down to one game for both the Eagles and the Cowboys.

The Eagles are a long shot to get into the playoffs, but the Cowboys still have a decent shot at getting a Wildcard. Both teams are struggling coming into this game as they are both coming off bad losses with the Cowboys losing to the Ravens and the Eagles dropping one to the Redskins.

This should be one hell of game as both teams will definitely be bringing their A game on Sunday. I think Dallas will probably get the best of Philly, but the way these NFC East showdowns have turned out this season, who knows what will happen.

Steelers Edge Cowboys in a Thriller 20-13

This season the Pittsburgh Steelers have shown that they have arguably the best defense in the NFL, but Dallas Cowboys have played very well too since the return of Tony Romo healthy and back as their starting quarterback.

Although this game has relatively no importance besides another W in the win column for either team, both teams wanted to gain some ground with the playoffs right around the corner.

The NFC East was shaken up a bit in week 14 with the Philadelphia Eagles convincingly beating the division leading New York Giants, but it is almost a guarantee that the Giants will win the division unless they completely break down and lose their last few games of the season.

Even with the loss to the Steelers, the Cowboys still gained some ground over the Atlanta Falcons in the NFC Wildcard race. As long as the Cowboys keep playing solid defense and minimize their mistakes on offense there is a good chance they could take the wildcard in the NFC.

Even though the Steelers have basically wrapped up the AFC North they definitely came to play and prove that they are ready to make a another championship run. This game was a defensive battle from start to finish with both teams consistently getting stops and preventing very good offenses from lighting up the scoreboards.

For most of the game the score was deadlocked a 3-3, but after a Terrell Owens touchdown the Cowboys went up 10-3 and looked like they had the game in hand.

Unfortunately for the Cowboys, the Steelers were not planning on quitting as they came out with a vengeance in the fourth quarter by putting up 17 points which included a game winning defensive touchdown after picking off Tony Romo for the second time.

Deshea Townsend got the game winning interception and return it for a 25 yard touchdown with only 1:40 remaining on the clock. The pick came off a pass which was a intended for Cowboys tight end Jason Witten who made a mistake running his route. Most fingers were pointed at Romo when it was all said and done, but Witten admitted it was entirely his fault and took responsibility for the costly loss to the Steelers.

Terrell Owens Has Monster Game Against 49ers in Week 12

Finally! Finally Terrell Owens has quieted his many critics with a game to remember against former team the San Francisco 49ers.

With 213 yards on 7 catches, a touchdown and a convincingly win over old team I think TO is satisfied for the time being. Not only was TO back to Pro Bowl/Hall of Famer form against San Francisco in week 12, but the entire team was firing on all cylinders as the Cowboys look like the Dallas team that started the season with Super Bowl aspirations.

Tony Romo had his best game since suffering the pinkie injury which kept him out of action earlier this season. Romo was almost perfect against the 49ers with 341 yards passing, 3 touchdowns and no interceptions, but he did fumble the football once.

Cowboys kicker Nick Folk was also huge in this win as he didn't miss a beat kicking three extra points and four field goals to help Dallas to victory and a nice 7-4 record to keep his team in the running for the NFC Wildcard.

The guy just could not be contained and has officially revived this Cowboys team that was looking like they were losing hope coming down the stretch. There is still a long way to go in the season, especially since they have some very important must win games ahead of them (Steelers, Giants, Ravens, Eagles), but after this very convincing win over the San Francisco 49ers 35-22 with Romo and TO on the same page, the Cowboys will be a very dangerous team in the final games of the season.

With the NFC East all but wrapped up by the 10-1 New York Giants, the Dallas Cowboys will be shooting for the NFC Wildcard with some good competition from the Carolina Panthers and the Washington Redskins.

It should be interesting to see who comes out of the NFC, but I definitely wouldn't count out the Cowboys if they keep playing like they did in week 12.

NEXT MATCH UP in WEEK 13: Seattle Seahawks @ Dallas Cowboys Thanksgiving Day 4:15pm EST

Tony Romo Takes Homeless Man Out to the Movies

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo has done it again! Romo continues to show his big heart for anyone in need as he does a homeless man a favor by taking him to the movies to see newly released Role Models, interesting choice of movie title considering what Romo keeps doing for his fellow man.

Even if you can't stand the Dallas Cowboys, hate Terrell Owens for being Terrell Owens or Cowboys owner makes you sick, it is nearly impossible not to like Tony Romo.

In this day in age, professional sports seems to be filled with a bunch law breaking, overpaid premadonnas who wouldn't even bother to look at someone even if they were stepping on them, but Tony Romo has shown that despite his fame and fortune he is still a good man and willing to help out the little people.

The first act of kindness by Tony Romo was changing a tire on the side of the road for a married couple after the Dallas Cowboys season opener. Even I wouldn't do that, let alone most people in this country, but not Romo who seems to be willing to help anyone in need no matter what the circumstance.

His second act of kindness happen just earlier in the week when actor Will Smith and Romo showed up at a high school pep rally. Most athletes wouldn't even bother or consider doing something like this, but Romo just isn't like every other athlete and has definitely earned my respect as I was convinced that athletes like this no longer existed.

Lastly, Romo's most recent act was doing a favor for a homeless man that openly admitted to not taking showers for quite some time. In response to this homeless man Doc's being smelly, Romo said:

"Don't worry about that," Romo said. "I'm used to locker rooms."

Then Doc was asked about his experience with the Cowboys quarterback:

"For me, it was a blessing," Doc said. "It came at just the right time. It gave me some encouragement and faith in mankind. I just wanted to say thank you."

I am still shocked about him changing the tire on the side of the road and now he goes and does something like this. With Romo's actions, it shows that there are still athlete role models out there that we can admire instead of seeing them being arrested, suspended or God knows what. Rarely can an athlete be a hero both on the field and off the field, but Tony Romo pulls it off nicely.

Felix Jones Out for the Season

As one of the best young offensive rookies for Dallas Cowboys, Felix Jones has been great a compliment to Marion Barber in the back field.

Unfortunately, Jones rookie campaign has come to an end as he is now out for the season with an injury to his big left toe. Being out since October 12th with a hamstring injury, Jones was sorely missed in an offense and a team for that matter that has been plagued with injuries all season long.

In just six games in his rookie season, Jones rushed for 266 yards and three touchdowns. Not only was Jones a huge threat coming out the backfield with his tremendous speed, but he also had some success returning kickoffs averaging 27.1 yards average and running back a 98 yard touchdown.

The Cowboys haven't exactly lived up to there Super Bowl expectations thus far, but after Tony Romo return in week 11 and Dallas beat NFC East rival Washington Redskins the Cowboys have a good chance of salvaging the season. A big part of their win over the Redskins in week 11 was due to Marion Barber game breaking performance. Barber continues to show that he is a prime time type back in the NFL.

Felix Jones Will Be Out of Action Against Redskins in Week 11

Although the Dallas Cowboys core on offense will be somewhat back to normal with Tony Romo and Jason Witten healthy and ready to go, rookie running back Felix Jones will not be on the field Sunday when the Cowboys take on another AFC East opponent in the Washington Redskins.

This isn't exactly devastating news for the Cowboys, but the Felix Jones has been a great addition to an already potent offense. With Dallas trying to get back to being one of the best, if not the best offense in the NFL, having Jones out of the lineup making it that much harder for the Cowboys.

Felix Jones has not just been a great compliment to Marion Barber developing one of the best one-two punches out of the backfield in the NFL, but he has also been a big time threat in the kick return game.

Even though Jones will be out of action for Sunday's game, the Cowboys are being cautious and don't want to bring back the rookie running back too soon.

The Return of Romo

It has been far too long and the Dallas Cowboys have definitely felt the pressure of not having Pro Bowler Tony Romo taking the snaps for America's team. Without Romo Dallas have gone 1-2 and dropped all the way down to last place in the very competitive NFC East with a record of 5-4.

Finally some good news for the Cowboys coming into week 10 as Tony Romo is back on the practice field and looking good. Obviously backup quarterbacks Brad Johnson and Brooks Bollinger haven't gotten the job done in Romo's absence so the Cowboys will be extremely anxious to get their superstar quarterback, maybe even faster and sooner than they should.

Unfortunately for the Cowboys, this season the team has been under the microscope ever since they were on the HBO Hard Knocks special. With all the expectations and Super Bowl predictions floating around to start the season, every single mishap and 3 and out has been criticized and analyzed to death. The Cowboys have just been a target of negative press all season long with all there good performances overshadowed by team drama, rumors of Wade Phillips on the hot seat and a bunch of BS.

Tony Romo's injury to his throwing hand definitely didn't help things as it put the cross hairs on the backs of all the Cowboys and the coaching staff, but with the return of Romo the team might be able to quite their critics and start winning football games in an effort to make some ground in the NFC East.

Although it is uncertain which quarterback will be starting in another important AFC East match up against the Washington Redskins in week 11, it would be pretty safe to say that Romo might take some snaps on Sunday.

Should the Cowboys Bench Brad Johnson?

Any time you have to replace a Pro Bowl quarterback like Tony Romo, it is extremely hard to get the same kind of production out of your backup, especially if he is forty years old.

The key for the Dallas is mobility when it comes to their veteran backup quarterback in Brad Johnson. Tony Romo is an amazing quarterback, he has a cannon for an arm and is as mobile as any quarterback in the NFL. Without Tony Romo behind center, the Cowboys lose all the perks of having a game changing quarterback who can hurt you with his feet as well as his arm like Romo can.

When in his prime Brad Johnson wasn't a bad quarterback, actually won a Super Bowl with Tampa Bay, but he was never a real threat to any opposing defense. As of right now, the Cowboys have a lot of offensive weapons, especially at wide receiver with Roy Williams and Terrell Owens.

Not only do the Cowboys have arguably two of the best wide outs in the game, but they also have a very good running back in Marion Barber and quite possibly the best all around tight end in the NFL today with Jason Witten.

That being said, some might think that Johnson's job is fairly easy, but the vet just hasn't been able to get it done. Even though Johnson is 1-1 so far in the two games he has started, with all these offense targets at his disposal he has only thrown 2 TDs to go along with 3 INTs and a 60.3 passer rating.

The other option for the Cowboys at quarterback would be to go with Brooks Bollinger. Even though Bollinger isn't a huge upgrade to Johnson, but after the lack of offensive production in the last couple of games and Romo still not certain about his return, a change might have to be right around the corner.

Over his career, Bollinger has stints with the New York Jets and Minnesota Vikings. In 6 years in the NFL Bollinger has thrown 2155 yards, 8 TDs and 8 INTs in 19 games.

Week 9 Battle Between NFC East Powerhouses: Dallas Cowboys vs. New York Giants

At the beginning of this NFL season, this matchup between the Dallas Cowboys and the New York Giants would have been huge. A battle of primetime quarterbacks in Tony Romo and Eli Manning. Two superstar wide receivers on both sides in the flamboyant Terrell Owens and the controversial Plaxico Burress.

Any way you chose to promote it would have guaranteed an exciting divisional matchup between arguably the best two teams in the very competitive NFC East.

Oh how things have changed since week 1. Both teams are still very much in the running for the NFC East title, especially the Giants at 6-1 and the Cowboys at 5-3, but the Giants have been labeled the best team in the league and the Cowboys suffuring from one too many injuries.

I don't think you can ever, I mean ever count out the Dallas Cowboys. There is just way too much talent on this team on both sides of the football. The Achillies heel for the Cowboys will be the 40 year old Brad Johnson at quarterback. Johnson doesn't bring the mobility, arm strength and all around ability that a Tony Romo has brought the Cowboys which could just mean the game for Dallas and another victory for the Giants.

Last weekend the Giants showed their true colors after beating the Pittsburgh Steelers and picking off Ben Roethlisberger 4 times. Before this game which was being called a Super Bowl preview between the best in the NFC and the best in the AFC, the Steelers were condsidered the best defense in the NFL, but after New York beat Big Ben and company 21-14 the tables have turned as the G Men now arguably the best team in the NFL.

This will be the toughest game of the season for Wade Phillips and his Cowboys. No Tony Romo, a banged up Jason Witten and a ancient Brad Johnson behind center. Dallas still has some time to lick their wounds and make some decisions on whether they want Johnson taking the snaps or handing the football over to Brooks Bollinger (which they should do).

The Giants on the other hand will be coming into this contest with a lot of confidence and looking to get that much closer to winning the NFC East. Unless the Cowboys really come together on defense to limit Eli Manning and company, then Dallas could be in for a long day in New York. One way the Cowboys could get the best of New York in week 9 will be Marion Barber. If this monster out of the backfield can get the running game going and limits the amount of times Johnson has to dictate the offense, then Dallas' have a good chance of pulling off the upset against their arch rivals.

More Injuries for the Cowboys: Jason Witten Has Fractured Rib

The news just isn't getting any better for the Dallas Cowboys. As if Tony Romo (finger) being out of the lineup wasn't bad enough for the Cowboys offense, now another key offensive threat in tight end Jason Witten found out he suffered a fractured rib in last weekend's win over the Tampa Bay Bucs.

Although as a tight end, Witten puts a lot of blocks on people and gets hit quite a bit, he stills says he wants to play in the big game against division rival New York Giants in week 9. Risky play for Witten as the pain could be unbearable depending how Wade Phillips uses him against the Giants.

Whether you are a Dallas Cowboys fan or not, you have to feel for these guys! The Cowboys have arguably the most talented football team in the NFL right now, especially on offense. The problem is they just can't seem to stay healthy. First it was Romo going down with the finger injury, then Roy Williams with a broken arm on defense, rookie running back Felix Jones (who was looking really good) and now Pro Bowl tight end Jason Witten.

Believe it or not, as of right now Jason Witten is the leading receiver on the Cowboys. With 46 receptions, 2 touchdowns and 549 yards Witten is a serious threat to a opposing defense every time he steps foot on the gridiron for Dallas.

Even though some critics are really hammering on the Cowboys because of expectations coming into this season, Dallas is starting to regain some much need momentum after the win over Tampa Bay. The offense still needs work, even more so now with Witten's injury, but if any team can pull it together it is the Dallas Cowboys.
